The European Journal of Politics and Gender is a peer-reviewed academic journal. Focusing on international cutting-edge research in the broad field of politics and gender. It has been recognized by the Executive Group on Gender and Politics of the European Political Research Association. This magazine is deeply rooted in global political and gender academic research, and its research scope is not limited to Europe. Its goal is to promote the diverse development of gender and political research.

To achieve this goal, it has published research articles in the broad field of gender and politics, including various regional and thematic focuses, research methods, and epistemological traditions. Submission can be based on a single country case study, as well as cross-border comparative research or theoretical exploration. The core criteria for publication are innovation and rigorous argumentation, and articles must have clear "key points". It studies the formal and informal components of politics in local, national, transnational, and global domains, covering subfields such as but not limited to social movements, representation, political participation, governance, public policy, the European Union, political economy, conflict and development, citizenship, LGBTQI politics, sexuality, and international relations.
